Rhetorics aside, how the Malaysian government and Malaysians have regard for quality education can be reflected by how much we are willing to spend: education accounts for 15.6% of the 2010 Federal budget, and the rising enrollment of Malaysian children in our 40 international schools.

But are our investments and resources spent wisely? Why not? Was there a time when Malaysian education was something to be proud of? What changed? How does this bode for Malaysia?
